Naengmyeon

The perfect dish to slurp down on a hot summer night - I had my first bowl of the summer for dinner yesterday and was delighted to be offered extra vinegar and spicy mustard paste to really dial in the flavor. I am always embracing opportunities to bring more briny delights into my life and am now inspired to consider a naengmyeon inflected martini... Here in Cleveland, a bowl of naengmyeon is about $13.99 at Korea House and $14.95 at Ha-Ahn (if I'm remembering right, Ha-Ahn's is served with sliced beef while Korea House's isn't), regardless, I'd recommend enjoying alongside an order of haemul pajeon (a savory pancake made with with vegetables and seafood).
